STORES CONTROLLER

MSA Manufacturing Ltd is a bespoke producer of machine and kit cut composite core and reinforcement materials. We are a key supplier to a number of prestigious companies and are now looking for a Stores Controller to join our team.

Main Purpose

To control all material stocks to ensure production schedules can be met, with minimum stock.  Good In/Out activities from warehouse including Receipting Goods in from Production. Liaising with Production team to ensure all works orders are kitted to the production plan

Key responsibilities

  • Checking and receiving of all goods into the business, utilising
  • Picking and kitting all production materials to the defined schedule.
  • Identifing and communicating all non conforming or damaged product issues with the Quality Dept
  • In conjunction with Production Controller maintain and update Goods Out Daily Board promptly with specific informaton on deliveries.
  • Communicate with hauliers/carriers/suppliers for all deliveries and collections.
  • Maintain a quarantine area
  • Scanning material certifications into SAP
  • Liaise with the relevant departments to highlight and investigate stock discrepancies
  • Carry out monthly stock checks and manage stock transfers between locations.
  • Ensure to adhere to all H&Safety and Quality procedures at all times.
  • To carry out any other duties within your capability as requested by Management.
  • To proactively identify, suggest and implement improvements
  • Apply and implement all SOP’s and adhere  to all company rules

KPIs

  • Stock checks carried out and entered monthly
  • Stock level accuracy – 95%
  • 5S of Store Area.

Essential requirements

  • Experience with WMS and MRP systems.
  • Stock control experience in a fast paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Driving licence
  • Good communication skills
  • Good organisational, record keeping and planning skills
  • Positive, Enthusiastic, Can Do attitude

Desirable

  • Manual Handling awareness
  • Forklift licence
