Reinforcement Fabric/Prepreg Cutting, Slitting & Kitting

What we offer

Fabric roll handling and cutting machines

MSA Manufacturing has made significant investments in fabric roll handling and storage equipment and multiple flat table CNC knife cutting machines to cover the slitting, cutting and kitting needs of its customers.

Part marking, sequential packing, bagging and labelling are all common standard for our customers, and materials are batch and temperature controlled.

Roll materials up to 2500mm wide and 300kg in roll weight can be cnc kit cut, and/or slit into tapes.

MSA is able to cut rolled fabrics and films and precision cut shapes from a wide range of materials including:

Cutting & Slitting Services

  • CNC Knife cutting conveyer tables – Bed envelope: able to handle materials up to 2600mm wide.
  • Variable cutting bed setting options: static only, conveying only, or cut and convey, which enables maximum machine efficiency without compromising cutting accuracy depending on the shape required.
  • CNC Knife cutting conveyer tables – Bed envelope: able to handle materials up to 1800mm
  • Prepregs (Glass, Carbon or Aramid fibre reinforced)
  • Carbon fibre dry fabrics – multiaxials (uniaxial/biaxial/traxial/quadraxial) and woven fabrics.
  • Prepreg parts typically bagged, labelled and re-chilled.

Ribamatic for slitting dry fabric rolls up to 3m in length, down to minimum 50mm tapes. Roll diameter depends on core, but with standard 75mm core, maximum roll diameter is 400mm
