Quality Systems & Approvals
MSA Manufacturing is an LRQA ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 accredited manufacturer, offering customers full traceability of materials and parts.
Extensive investments in quality assurance related processes, training and equipment, including optical quality inspection systems, have been made across the business, covering manufactured products, digital engineering and the supply chain services provided to customers.
Surface scanning technology is used by MSA as part of the quality control process to check parts post-machining; measurements from scanned parts are referenced back to a customer supplied CAD model or in-house reverse engineered CAD file to ensure that the final machined components being supplied have been made to the correct specifications.
The company is also JOSCAR Stage 2 accredited for the Aerospace, Defence and Security sectors.
The MSA Manufacturing quality system is able to complete Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) for all cut foam and reinforcement fabric kit parts and 2D preforms supplied, covering both engineering and manufacturing.
MSA Manufacturing is an approved supply chain partner for key OEMs including:
- RS Sailing
- MHI Vestas Offshore Wind Blades UK
The quality ethos at MSA Manufacturing ensures that everybody is responsible for quality. Each person is accountable for their individual work, with procedures in place which aim to ensure that things are done ‘right first time’. If any quality issue occurs, the process is analysed to root cause the problem and corrections are made to ensure that it does not arise again.
The companies’ quality culture combines active engagement with customers and their needs with tracking quality performance across all levels of the organization. Continuous improvement initiatives covering product and service quality are a key ongoing activity in the business to ensure quality is constantly improved, additional process efficiencies are gained and new customer needs are met.
